Wedding Planning Timeline Steps

1. Collect the Money

Knowing how much the bride and groom (B & G) have decided to spend on their wedding and honeymoon is important because it helps you set up a budget as well as begin locating wedding service providers within their price range.

In addition, it also helps you set your fee since most wedding planners earn at least 10% of the total wedding budget. Therefore once you know how much they are willing to spend on the wedding, you can then agree on how much you will be paid and when you will be paid. For instance you can ask for an upfront deposit and then agree on when the balance will be paid.
To help the B & G collect the money for their wedding, you can:
1. Advice them to pool their wedding savings into a separate account from their daily expenses
2. Ask them if they want to politely solicit additional funds from their parents and other well wishers.

How to Assert Yourself Course

How to Assert Yourself Course

This How To Assert Yourself Course teaches you the basic assertiveness training skills so that you can learn to speak up for yourself without hurting others or down playing your rights, needs and wants.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Topics covered in the How To Assert Yourself Course include:
1. Understanding the difference between being aggressive, assertive and passive
2. How to Assert Yourself
3. How to Stop Being a People Pleaser using Biblical principles
4. How to Say No Nicely

***

EXCERPT
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING
AGGRESSIVE, ASSERTIVE AND PASSIVE
Regardless of whatever life situation you may be facing, ask yourself the following question to determine whether you are being  aggressive, assertive or passive:
Have I taken all the power, responsibility and choices for my rights, needs and wants from the other party?
If the answer is DEFINITELY YES, you are being aggressive.
This is because an aggressive person does not give the other parties any power, responsibility or choices in determining the matters at hand. They do not let the other parties decide anything.

Have I taken all the power, responsibility and choices for my rights, needs and wants from the other party?
If the answer is YES and NO, you are being assertive.
This is because an assertive person gives the other parties equal power, responsibility and choices in determining the matters at hand.

Have I taken all the power, responsibility and choices for my rights, needs and wants to the other party?
If the answer is ABSOLUTELY NO, you are being passive.
This is because a passive person does not take any power, responsibility or choices in determining the matters at hand. They let the other parties do it all for them.

*****

HOW TO ASSERT YOURSELF
To assert yourself correctly, you have to remember that asserting yourself is a direct way of clearly expressing your feelings and needs without hurting the other person's or party’s feelings or minimizing what you want to say.

To help you assert yourself effectively, remember this mnemonic:

*****

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE EXCERPT

THE PHOTOGRAPHY RULE OF THIRDS
The Rule of Thirds is determined by drawing two parallel horizontal lines and two parallel vertical lines in order to divide your view finder or picture into 9 equal spaces.

The Rule of Thirds then advocates that the subject of the photo should be placed where any of the parallel lines meet or on those parallel lines which means that the subject should be 1/3 up or 1/3 down or 1/3 to the right or 1/3 to the left of the center of the photo because that is where the eye is naturally drawn.

For example in the following photo you can see that the sky takes up approximately 2/3 of the photo while the trees and grass take up 1/3 because the sky is the area of interest in this photo.

If the vegetation is the area of interest in your landscape photos, then let it take up 2/3 of the image while the sky takes up the remaining 1/3.

Photography Rule of Thirds

In the photo below you can see that the cherry and cream are 1/3 up and also where two parallel lines meet and thus at the point of reference where the subject of the photo should be placed.
