What nutritional supplements are useful for the management of acne?

Supplements that support your skin as it repairs itself by supplying micronutrients that you may not get in adequate amounts from your diet include:
1. Omega 3 Fatty Acids
These essential fatty acids (EFAs) help in tissue repair as well as in keeping the skin soft and smooth. They also aid in reducing inflammation.
Consider taking a fish oil supplement if you are not eating adequate amounts of cold water fish such as sardines and mackerel as well as flaxseed oil, soya oil, canola oil, pumpkin and sunflower seeds.

2. Use an oil free moisturizer that contains non-comedogenic ingredients.

3. Avoid make up and if you must use it, use water-based, non-comedogenic brands and wash them off before you sleep each evening.
